cycling hat / early autumn

I got myself a little linen cap to go with my cycling getup (e.g., gloves, jersey, shorts). I was bummed that the “official” cheap hipster hats from the bike shop that say “Brooklyn” in all caps didn’t look right. You know how I like to fit in with the hipsters. I do love Brooklyn like the rest of them though, so I wanted to show my support. Plus, the cycling caps are obviously made for boys, and I like to swing that way. This one is a better fit for me anyway, and it was even on sale.

I’m not really a hats kind of girl, except when extremely functional, such as during brisk months of the year, or this case. I’m that way with all accessories, actually. I’m working scarves in more and more though, and I think this is another step in that direction.

As an aside, I got my oxfords in, and I can’t wait to bring out those cardigans. The temperature dipped quite a bit this week, so I am all too eager at this point. The low tonight is 56° F. Very tempting.

I do have to say that it feels amazing to listen to Miles again. His work really rings in the end of Summer for me. I’m a happy camper.
